Help Us Make a Difference This Women’s Month with Earthchild Project

For every successful girl, there’s a woman paving her way ahead.

Did you know that 30% of girls in South Africa* miss school over their menstrual cycles due to the lack of access to affordable and appropriate products to support their bodies. This is a shocking reality.

We would like to change that. For the month of August Faithful to Nature will be partnering with Earthchild Project in support of their Girl Club. With your help, we might be able to touch the lives of thousands of young women in South Africa. If you shop the site this month we will donate a percentage of your sale directly to the project.

What is the Impact of the EarthChild Project?

Understanding the Difference You Can Make

For every R300 donated we’ll be able to provide one girl with a pack of washable, reusable panties and sanitary pads that can last for up to five years.

Earthchild Project ensures that these packs are distributed to the girls they work with in Khayelitsha and Lavender Hill. They will be distributed together with an educational workshop to ensure that the girls properly understand how to use them.

The Girls Clubs work that they do specifically works with young women, creating safe spaces to learn about themselves and their bodies, exploring topics such as menstruation, healthy boundaries, sexuality, emotional intelligence and more.

“Girl’s Club has taught me that what is inside is just as important as what is on the outside.”

“It has been a wonderful experience.  GC kept me motivated in all kinds of ways. It made me believe in myself more than I did before.”

“I didn’t know myself before GC. But I found her by being in a safe place.”

“Asemahle runs our club and she’s a great role model. She doesn’t rush you into things. She’ll always tell you ‘take our time, calm down’. I love her a lot.”

“Girls Club has changed my life and helped me believe in myself and know I am going to achieve great things.”

If you’d like to be involved you can simply make sure that you’re making your conscious purchases through us, just one more reason to shop Faithful to Nature.
