Treat Your Feet: DIY Foot Soak & Scrub Recipes

There’s nothing quite like a home pedicure to get those tired tootsies tapping again! Check out our easy recipes for a DIY foot soak, foot scrub and foot lotion, and enjoy a little natural pampering.


Minty Lime Foot Soak

Lime has cleansing, refreshing properties and an uplifting citrus aroma. Epsom salt soothes aches and pains, and softens up tough heels; and peppermint cools and soothes tired feet.

Ingredients:

Method:

  • Zest the lime.
  • Combine in a bowl with the Epsom salts & essential oils.
  • Mix the ingredients until the lime zest & oils are completely blended throughout the salt.
  • Decant the mixture into a clean glass jar for storage.
  • To use, fill your foot spa or bowl with warm water & sprinkle in a generous handful of Minty Lime Foot Soak mixture.
  • Sit back, relax & let your feet soak for 15-20 min. Afterwards, rub dry with a clean towel.

Coffee Foot Scrub

Coffee boosts the circulation and improves the tone of your skin, while oatmeal and sea salt provide gentle exfoliating action for smoother, softer feet.

Ingredients:

Method:

  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl & mix thoroughly.
  • Decant the mixture into a clean glass jar for storage.
  • To use, scrub your feet with a small amount of the mixture, in circular motion.
  • Rinse off with warm water & pat dry; then apply your favourite natural foot lotion.

Cooling Coconut Foot Lotion

Shea butter and coconut are both ultra-nourishing natural moisturisers that will leave your feet feeling soft and pampered.

Ingredients:

Method:

  • Gently warm the shea butter & coconut oil in a double boiler until just melted; remove from heat & mix together.
  • Add the almond oil & essential oils; mix thoroughly.
  • Decant the mixture into a clean glass jar for storage.
  • Massage a small amount into your feet after using your natural soak or scrub.
