There are so many health benefits associated with these wholesome, unprocessed oats:
- Cholesterol Reduction: Over recent years it has been demonstrated that consumption of rolled oats (in amounts of about 125-150 g per day), or oat bran in smaller amounts, will lower blood cholesterol levels, especially in people who have high initial levels.
- Diabetes Control: Cereal grains are digested very slowly, producing only a gradual rise in the level of sugar in the blood. As a result, the body needs less insulin to control blood sugar after eating plain, unadorned cereal grains than after eating some other high-carbohydrate foods such as bread or potato.
- Cardiovascular Disease Prevention: A reduction in serum cholesterol levels decreases the risk of developing heart disease.
- Atherosclerosis Prevention: Avenanthramides are phenolic antioxidants, which are present in oats, and have the potential to reduce plaque build in the artery walls, and may contribute to the prevention of atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries).
Note: Oats contain small amounts of gliadin. Celiac disease is an intestinal allergic disorder whose victims are sensitive to gluten and gliadin, proteins in wheat and rye . People with celiac disease cannot digest the nutrients in these grains.

Best oats ever

Amazing - you will never look back ... this is what oats should be like! Our children love them as well. I have them uncooked with yoghurt and blueberries in the morning.
10 stars in my book

I have not found anything that remotely compares to those oats and not for the lack of trying. I eat the dry (not cooked) and they are pure deliciousness in every ball. Pricey, for sure, but worth every rand
A winner in the food cupboard

By Nature Oats is fantastic. Ive purchased this brand several times over and just love it. It is an easy-cooking oats and goes well with a sliced up banana, cinnamon, coconut sugar and almond milk. I use it to make dehydrated Muesli (dried fruit pieces, superfood powders, honey, nuts seeds) and Granola. It is also a great addition to Smoothies and makes the best Oats Cookies Ive ever tasted. A definite winner in the food cupboard!

Great Product but Pricy

Its a great cereal substitute, its natural and free from artificial products and flavourants. It takes slightly longer to cook than the usual Jungle Oats, probably 15-20 minutes on the stove. I wish it was more affordable and sold in bulk discounts. R62 for 1 Kg is 3 times the price of a Jungle Oats packet. The price is the only negative factor about this product.I love organic products but wish they were more affordable for myself and everyone.
I add cinnamon and pure cocoa/carob powder for added taste. I have also made my very own cinnamon and apple, peach and cream, strawberry and cream, chocolate flavoured oats. Simple chop the fruit and boil with the oats, then at the end add a soya/rice/dairy alternative cream. Alpro Soya Cream is delicious. Oats can also be added to smoothies or used as an energy drink. Its quite high in protein/Fibre. I eat it with soya/rice milk and brown sugar. You can use healthier alternatives to sugar like agave, maple syrup, rice syrup, etc
