Essential oils are the highly concentrated active ingredients of plants. They should always be diluted in a base before use and should not be taken internally without professional recommendation.
- Baths: Add 5 - 10 drops of essential oil(s) to a warm run bath. If skin is sensitive, blend the essential oil in a teaspoon of carrier oil first. Close the door so the vapours don't escape. Soak for at least 10 minutes relaxing and breathing deeply. For added moisturising dilute the oils in 10ml of carrier before adding to the bath.
- Massage: add 5 - 6 drops of essential oil per 10ml of carrier oil. Mix thoroughly and apply liberally to the skin.
- Inhalations: Add 4 - 5 drops of essential oil to a bowl of steaming water. Place a towel over your head, close your eyes and lean over the bowl. Inhale the vapour for a few minutes.
- Burners and Diffusers: Fill the bowl of the burner/vaporiser with water and then add 3 - 6 drops of essential oil. Light the candle and the oil will evaporate as the water heats up. Do not let the bowl dry out.
Caring for Your Essential Oils
SOil essential oils and carrier oils are living products that are vulnerable to heat, moisture, air and light. It is best to store them in a cool, dark place with the lids well sealed. If your fridge is the only cool place around, allow the oils to reach a cool room temperature before use (around 20 degrees Celsius).

makes me sleepy

I always have this lavender oil, I add it to oil masks and other hair products. I started using it a few days ago on my armpits as a deodorant but it made me terribly sleepy during the day so Ive stopped. So if you e looking for something to make you feel sleepy this is it, wont cause redness/rash/burning when applied directly to armpit.

Love this oil! Add it to my bath for a wonderful relaxing bath. I mixed a few drops with Bio Oil and use it on a bad scar I have on my calf, been doing this for a month now and the scar is definitely lighter and hardly noticeable in places.

Wonderful in my home made dog shampoo

Castile liquid with some soil Lavender essential oil and coconut oil, as a doggy shampoo, and its wonderful. It has a multitude of other uses of course, but one of my German Shepherds has rather a sensitive skin, and this is the only product that has not left him itching for days after a bath!

I regularly burn lavender essential oil in my burners. The SOIL lavender essential oil is much stronger than others I have used previously, so you need only a few drops to produce the beautiful relaxing scent through the home.
Calming and soothing

I add a few drops to a tub of epsom salts, and add to the bath. The combination of lavender (calming) and salts relieve stress and aches and pains, preparing you for a beautiful restful sleep.
In daily use in our household

I put a few drops of lavender oil in my daughters bath every night have done since she was a baby (she is now nearly 5) , it calms relaxes her for bedtime.
Lavender oil is also a must in your household for burns, stings and bites!! Apply directly to the burn or sting and that terrible burny sensation disapears immdediately. Your burn will heal so much quicker. My little girl has been stung by a bee twice and a couple of applications of lavender oil and it was all forgotten about within a couple of hours.

I am NOT a fan of the smell of lavender oil or dried lavender, but I cannot deny that the aroma really soothes my nerves and helps me sleep well. I also use a very small dot of it on my piercings at night to keep them clean and healthy

Best lavender oil

I love lavender oil. The soil brand is the best I have ever tried. All my essential oils will be soil brand from now on.
I especially love SOILs Lavender oil.
I especially love SOILs Lavender oil. Very soft and fragrant. A small amount rubbed into the temples gets rid of a headache in no time. Great for colds and flu and insomnia. Also heals wounds and pimples FAST! Continual use made a burn scar on foot fade almost completely.
