The only down fall is it leaves black dust from the charcoal but nothing drastic. But don't be fooled, it's just an ugly black soap inside and as someone else mentioned, it turns the water black and leaves a mess everywhere the soap touches. And when I wash myself, the little flecks of soap and water go all over the walls and mirror. The other person mentioned that it washes away but I found that it builds up over time and it actually left black sticky marks that I couldn't just remove with water.
