Did You Know? The palm fruit oil we use in our oatcakes is a natural oil. It is non hydrogenated source of fat which is free of detrimental trans-fatty acids. Palm oil is also cholesterol free, has good digestibility properties and contains a high level of natural anti-oxidants (vitamin E). Palm fruit oil is often viewed as a 'bad' oil because it is generally confused with palm kernel oil.
Please Note: The palm oil used in Nairns products comes from sustainable sources; Nairns are proud members of the RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil).

Efforts to create a sustainable source of palm oil are still in the early stages, and virgin rainforests have been removed and are being removed to create palm plantations.
