Five Faithful Resolutions for a Truly Happy New Year

As 2013 draws to a close, we at Faithful to Nature want to wish all our customers a happy, healthy and fulfilling year – and we’ve got a few new year resolution tips for 2014 you might find inspiring…

1. Look for Potential, Not Flaws

For many of us, the beginning of a new year is a time when we “take stock” of our lives and identify those things we are dissatisfied with. While there’s nothing wrong with wanting to improve certain areas of your life, it’s important to be aware that this kind of thought can be a slippery slope towards judging yourself, comparing yourself to others and succumbing to negative feelings. The solution is so simple however, and it lies in positive self-talk and intentions. Instead of saying “I am unhappy with…” or “I have to change…”, rather say “I have the potential to improve…” or “I look forward to changing…” This will help you get in a positive frame of mind to tackle whatever changes you want to make in the coming year.

2. Focus on Respect, Love & Gratitude

These priceless values will help to get you through any of the coming year’s challenges with grace. Love and respect yourself, your world and your fellow beings – it’s as simple as that.

3. Foster Curiosity

This year, one of the most valuable lessons our green team has learned is that curiosity and success go hand-in-hand. When you are genuinely, passionately curious about your goals, your work, your life and the people in it, you will find yourself learning and growing like never before! Make 2014 the year you nurture a deep and insatiable curiosity within yourself. You’ll be amazed at the results.

4. Smile and Laugh

A seemingly small resolution that costs nothing, but can change everything. A simple smile is so good for your mind and body, and it’s the most beautiful natural accessory you could ever choose to wear!

5. Take It One Day at a Time!

Be realistic about your goals for the year; don’t yearn for quick fixes and overnight results, but rather recognise that all changes take time, and focus on enjoying the journey.
