**Please Note: Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate is one of the ingredients that we’re watching closely. This is what we know about it – to use it or not to use is your call.
Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate is approved by ECOCERT, and is also approved in the new COSMOS organic standard.
The ingredient is sulphate-free, it is not processed with ethylene oxide or 1,4dioxane, and has a good sensitivity rating.
The Cosmetics Database finds Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate to be a moderate hazard ingredient, primarily because of its potential to be contaminated with nitrosamine (a known carcinogen) and because of its classification as a penetration enhancer.
Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate should not be used in cosmetics and personal care products in which N-nitroso compounds may be formed (CosmeticsInfo.org).
Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate is not expected to be potentially toxic or harmful, and has a low oral toxicity. It is not found to be mutagenic, irritating or sensitizing, although it may enhance the penetration of other ingredients through the skin which is a good or a bad thing depending on what other ingredients it is mixed with.
It has an EWG rating – the rating is 3/10, primarily due to data gaps.
6 out of 7 people would recommend this product25/09/2017, By PetraIf you like a sweet tasting toothpaste with a mild mint hint then this will be good for you. It is too sweet for me and am not sure how effective it is, I prefer a more refreshing mint toothpaste.25/05/2017, By JessieAbsolutely delicious toothpaste... You don't need much at all, it lasts for ages! Enjoyed by children and adults alike in our family.09/11/2016, By GinaI switched my daughter from the Pure Beginnings Berry that we used from when she first grew baby teeth. The first couple of brushes were tentative, but it was an easy transition over to a bigger little persons toothpaste.
I can highly recommend all three toothpastes in the Pure Beginnings range.11/09/2016, By CarolOur kiddies don want to use any other toothpaste - they love it!02/06/2016, By SamMy 12 13 old boys love this toothpaste so much I had to try it. Lovely flavour and great feel in your mouth.

As an alternate to the kids toothpaste bought in the retail stores this is really worth every cent and a bonus of not having any nasties in it!09/02/2016, By KristiGreat taste and no complaints from my 3 5 year olds.
