A naturally delicious cheese-like taste, which can be used to enhance the flavour of vegan and vegetarian casseroles, soups & sauces.
High in vitamin B1, B2 and B6, which can be hard to find in large amounts if you follow a vegan diet. Nutritional yeast is high in protein and folic acid as well.

If you're looking for a cheese substitute then there's a period of adjustment, it doesn't have the texture or recognisable taste of any particular cheese. But once you've adjusted it's great. I use it on my vegetables, mash potatoes, and even in a vegan white sauce. I also use it when I am making vegan butter. It gives a creamy, cheesy/nutty flavour to most of my dishes.
