Directions:
Prepare your trays:
1st Option Using Livingseeds Germination Mix:- Fill your black bottom tray with water.
- Fill your green tray with the germination mix and place it inside the black tray.
- Allow the soil mix to soak up the water.
- Once the soil is wet, tip out any remaining water from the black tray and replace the green tray inside the black one.
2nd Option Using Buffered Coir Blocks:
- Place 2 coir grow blocks in a bowl large enough to accommodate the blocks swelling to 4x their size.
- Pour 625ml (2 1/2 cups) of water into the bowl.
- Once the coir is saturated, fill your green tray with the coir and press down to level the surface.
Planting the seed:
Beetroot:- Soak your beetroot seed for 6-8 hours and drain the water off.
- Sprinkle your seed densely on the surface of the moist grow medium and press them down.
- Place a black tray inside the tray and apply weight for 2-3 days. The weight can be a standard brick or 4 standard 325ml cans.
- Remove the weight and invert the tray to form a dark moisture dome. Keep the plants in the dark for two days to encourage taller growth.
- Remove the cover and allow the plant to green up in a well-lit, well-ventilated area. Use bottom watering to ensure the soil remains moist.
Cress:
- Sprinkle the cress seed densely over the surface of your moist grow medium.
- Spray generously with your fine mist spray.
- Invert your black tray to form a dark moisture dome to keep your seed blackout for 2-3 days.
- Once germinated and about 2cm tall, remove the blackout tray and allow the seed to green up in a well-lit, well-ventilated area.
- Use bottom watering to ensure that your soil remains moist.
Daikon Radish:
- Soak your radish seed for 2-4 hours. Drain and sprinkle densely over your moist grow medium.
- Place a black tray inside your grow tray and apply weight for 2-3 days.
- Once germinated, remove the weight and invert the tray to put them in blackout for a day or 2 to encourage taller growth.
- Uncover and allow to green up in a well-lit, well-ventilated area.
- Use bottom watering to ensure your soil remains moist.
White Mustard:
- Sprinkle the White Mustard seed densely over your moist grow medium.
- Spray generously with your fine mist spray.
- Iinvert your black tray to form a dark humidity dome to keep your seed in blackout for 2-3 days.
- Once it is a few centimeters tall, remove the blackout tray and allow it to green up in a well-lit, well-ventilated area.
- Use bottom watering to ensure your soil remains moist.
Days to Harvest:
- Beetroot 10-14 days.
- Cress 5-7 days.
- Radish 5-7 days.
- White Mustard 5-7 days.
