I moved into a cottage in the middle of nature and I’ve been using candle holders filled white vinegar near the windows I keep open a bit for air flow along with burning one of these candles in each room starting around 16:30 since the sun’s going down around 18:00 right now. I will say after dark the things these candles don’t keep out are slugs lol. So my windows still stay narrow slits to keep those guys away. The candles last way longer than the traditional citronella and they fill the whole room with a good scent after about an hour. First time I was only using the candle and not the vinegar at the entry points and a mosquito came in. I had to let a window open to let him out. These definitely work. A bit disappointed because the smell is so faint I dont think it would chase mozzies away, but I love that it doesnt have that 'chemical'-y smell to it that normal candles have and its really aesthetic looking and I can reuse the jar because its easier to clean out this natural wax than normal wax
