This organically produced dried yeast from Health Connection is a vegan's dream for two reasons:
- Firstly, it has a naturally delicious cheese-like taste, which can be used to enhance the flavour of vegan and vegetarian casseroles, soups & sauces.
- Secondly, it's high in vitamin B1, B2 and B6, which can be hard to find in large amounts if you follow a vegan diet. Nutritional yeast is high in protein and folic acid as well.
Please Note: Health Connection Nutritional Yeast is a condiment and a dietary supplement; not suitable as a raising agent for baking.

Wish it came in bigger packaging since some mock cheese sauces require 1/2 cup - 1 cup of nutritional yeast. It tastes like a crunchy dry cheese topping and is delicious on salads; snacks and cooked meals.22/04/2016, By CandiceThis makes the most amazing creamy sauce for pasta :)28/11/2015, By SalomeThe woman at Raw Roxys in Woodstock showed me how to use nutritional yeast to make the most divine cauli popcorn - simply chop the cauliflower into little bite-sized chunks, throw in a plastic bag, pour over olive oil (be generous). Then follow with nutritional yeast. Use the bag to mix everything thoroughly. Divine and very healthy!28/08/2015, By VianaNice to use in sauces etc instead of cheese, or even to add to something if you want to use less cheese.
Not quite the real thing, but I decent substitute.05/06/2015, By WBI love this stuff. Cheesy, nutty flavour is great. I sprinkle it on steamed brocolli with some olive oil and salt.
