- Coconut oil and beeswax make up the creamy base of this natural deodorant. Both are antibacterial, moisturising and protective.
- Cornstarch and bentonite clay add silkiness to the texture, and absorbmoisture and toxins.
The citrus oils in this formula also play an important role:
- Sweet orange oil is antiseptic and anti-inflammatory. It has a pleasant, light citrus fragrance.
- Neroli oil kills bacteria and microbes, keeping your skin clean and fresh. It also has antioxidant properties, and assists with skin cell repair.
Did You Know? Sweating is an essential function that cleans the pores and helps the body flush out toxins. Sweat itself is actually odourless, and only starts to smell bad when it mixes with your skin’s bacteria. Antiperspirants are designed to prevent sweating, by blocking up your sweat ducts; and that’s not healthy at all. Meanwhile, natural deodorants allow you to sweat normally, but they neutralise the bacteria that causes bad odours.

08/01/2023, By TamrynI'm a really sweaty person (have been since I was a baby, it's called hyperhydrosis). Mainly my feet, hands and underarms and because of this I struggle with bad BO. I've been using natural deodorants for a few years now and it's absolutely life-changing. I use a pea size amount and literally don't smell at all, all day long. I've tried Apothecary and Natural Yogi (though the latter seems to only have small jars now) and they both do the trick. I've taken a star away because as others have mentioned, if the deodorant warms up then the oil separates and you can accidentally spill it out the jar BUT I just take an ice cream stick and remix the oil until it's a paste again. It's best to apply this straight after a shower or bath, so that one's skin is warm enough to help the product to meltingly slide on and absorb. I haven't had any issues with staining on clothing against my underarms so far. The first time I put it on, it felt a tad oily but that feeling soon goes away and then you don't notice it on consecutive days of use. Smells beautiful! Love the neroli essence coming through. It got to 29 degrees in Durban and I only put it on the morning, and it lasted all day, no weird smells and it feels great knowing that you're putting on good ingredients.
