09/02/2024, By Leigh-AnnLove love it. My two year old have finished half the packet on his own.17/01/2022, By JeanetteUsed as zest in food and it worked good, was not pleasant to eat on it's own06/08/2021, By LorenThese were cheap and worth the gamble - and turned out to be the best surprise and a new staple snack in my orders! The taste reminds me of those Beacon Sparkles sweets - the green one. Love!08/07/2021, By AnnetteI use it as a garnish in Gin or just to eat like that. It is tasty snack! Love the taste. I have bought it a couple of times and will by again. It is also at a great price!07/07/2021, By NatalieVery different . Was expecting something totally different but enjoyed the product.02/07/2021, By CindyA little bland for my liking, but I order it regularly for my Chinchilla's, they absolutely LOVE it!26/11/2020, By CandiceCan't get enough of these, I just ordered a bunch more. They are a super tasty snack with the sweet tangy naartjie flesh and the slightly bitter skin. They go so well in GnT too!25/08/2020, By TracyThese crispy snacks would be really delicious but the skin makes them rather bitter. Still, not a bad snack. Kids eat around the skin & then leave the skin behind, which is rather a waste, and on their own the skins are very bitter so even I don't enjoy it then! Not sure I'll buy again.18/08/2020, By JessicaNice to have a different dried fruit, tasty, but does have a bit of a citrus taste14/07/2020, By RozI love it, my husband doesn't - he says it tastes like naartjie peel.10/06/2020, By RichDelicious and full of vitamins. Its pretty good but not as good as the dried pineapple (that's the best one)11/05/2020, By LunaVery nice snack, but is an acquired taste for those who love more bitter things.04/05/2020, By JurgitaMy boyfriend and I love these dried naartjies. It's perfect if you like sweet and sour taste. It's a completely guilt free treat. :)20/03/2020, By LaurenVery nice for a snack, but i think it's an acquired taste. Would get it again02/01/2020, By CindyMy one chinchilla just LOVES this! I give it to him as an occassional treat and love the fact that it has no nasties that can harm my chilli.27/09/2019, By JaxI love these naartjies. My friends don't like it as much. They feel the skin makes it taste a bit bitter. I like to eat the crispy peel first and then I end off with the juicy inside. Normally I finish the bag immediately.20/06/2019, By IlzéThis is such a delicious, guilt free snack. I would recommend this as a gluten free snack for sure.11/06/2019, By EmmaI ordered these for my toddler, but it’s just too dry. I can also not get myself to snack on these - would rather order dried mango or pear in future.26/02/2019, By MarietjieBroke them into smaller pieces and mixed it with other dried fruit to add more value and benefit. I Iike this! Can't find something like this in any other store. Thanks FTN27/01/2019, By Bitter and twistedSugar coating these would have been better and to sugar-coat the situation: they smelt nice at least. But in all honesty, these are for a very specific pallete (clearly not mine) as to me, they were pretty revolting. If you remove the rind (which seems odd based on the size of the pieces), they taste better, but really it was like eating unpleasant potpourri. I enjoy grapefruit and fresh lemon daily, but this was not sour in a pleasant way.09/01/2019, By JanineVery yummy dried naartjies, hard to stop once you start.21/12/2018, By LouiseTaste can differ every time. The first was delicious second one I bought not the same. Could see the skin was more green and it was bitter. But still nice, it inspired me to make my own so now I know what I'd get every time hehe23/11/2018, By KaylaVery unusual taste. A bit bitter for me but my partner likes it, so depends on your preference I guess17/09/2018, By MargaretSurprisingly delicious30/08/2018, By ZainabI understand its sugar free etc
Quite sour, not me. Maybe you might like it.06/07/2018, By KirstenIf you like sour-you’ll love these! Crunchy too... I love25/04/2018, By ElmarieNot quite what I was expecting, but zingy and fun to eat! Would just suggest removing the seeds before biting into one, they are extremely bitter.18/04/2018, By DebbieWas pleasantly surprised to see these still have the rind on. The bittersweet combo is very nice, though I did have one that was extremely bitter! The flavour is delightfully citrussy and long-lasting.
Very crispy texture.27/03/2018, By FrancoisDried with the bitter rind still on. Once you get used to this, and the surprisingly crispy texture, you will finish the packet on your own and crave more.
Even if you don't end up enjoying it, buy it and give it a try ;)05/12/2017, By BelindaIf you are a fan of dark bitter chocolate with orange flavour, then you will love these. They do have a bitter taste, but I love it. Not overly sweet as with most dried fruit. Very tasty little snack.05/12/2017, By AbigailI love all the sulphur free dried fruit and was curious about these. Texture is great - crisp and easy to bite. They have the rind on though and some of it is pretty bitter. The inside is nice and citrusy. The rind had me questioning how they are intended to be used/ if just for snacking as ' naartjie BITES' implies. They are okish if you are expecting it but don't eat at the sane time as sweet stuff! Taste stays for long.
