Bringing her love of crafts and colour together, Nurturing Fibres was created by a passionate woman when she found the quality and colours of yarn locally available disappointing. This brand has grown to benefit the local community, as it gained popularity so it has also created jobs.
Nurturing Fibres source high quality local uncertified, but organically grown cotton and bamboo, and run their business consciously. Their dye house is run with the lowest possible environmental impact and the greatest possible socio-economic benefit. They use solar power, borehole or recycled water and even have a staff veggie patch. The dyes are Oeko-Teko approved as they do not contain any restricted substances listed on the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 list
