More and more South Africans are welcoming this special water filter into their health-conscious homes. Kuro-Bo Activated Charcoal is the first and only 100% plastic-free, natural and recyclable water filter in Africa. Activated charcoal, or Binchotan, has been used for centuries in Japanese culture to filter and purify water. The charcoal attracts positively-charged toxins and heavy metals, and draws them out of the water, while depositing beneficial minerals into the water. Activated charcoal also balances the water’s pH. A single stick of Kuro-Bo charcoal can give you up to 3 months of cleaner, healthier, better-tasting water.

This is my new best friend - already ordered another one. Water tastes like it used to. Now to tell my friends...

Took this with on my last overseas trip, so no more worries about quality of tap water wherever I go.

I was in desperate need to find an alternative to filtered bottled water after a rather nasty incident with water from a very reputable source. I boil filtered water for my son's milk bottles, tea and water bottles and have found that this is really the perfect alternative to bottled filtered water. I now only use this water for any consumption in my home, drinking, cooking, tea or coffee and the best thing is that I won't run out of bottled water. I trust and love this product.

I just can't get over how fresh and clean my water tastes - no clunky filters to clean out and replace - just this wonderful product. It even makes the water carafe look quite classy ;p

I have had my Kuro-Bo for more than a month and have done the 10 minute re-boil - the water still tastes great! Tested versus tap water and water from a jug filter and it's really a huge improvement on the tap water, and better than the jug - removes chlorine taste, metallic taste and muddy taste. Great product!

Easy, convenient and eco-friendly. Not sure if its just a placebo effect but I do feel like the tap water tastes a lot better

Kuro-Bo is a very effective water filter. The quality of tap water is improved 100%. There is a huge difference in the taste and feel of the filtered water compared to water straight from the tap. Ive been using it for a couple of weeks. I heat the tap water before adding the charcoal and leave it for 10-12hrs and it works perfectly every time.

We tested Newlands Spring Water, ordinary tap water and kuro-bo filtered water and kuro-bo was without doubt the best, most refreshing tasting water! Our whole family loves it! Would highly recommend it - and I love the easy and natural way the charcoal can be disposed of when its done its job after 3 months.

This is the single best product I have bought anywhere in a very long time. Although I adore my stefani filter, it does not have the edge on this very simple, extremely innovative, effective and eco-friendly product. So easy to use, the water tastes magnificent (my son calls it loving water) and I love the fact that it is so versatile and can be used in water containers of my choice. Now all we need is for someone to design a filtered drinking bottle for water on the go!
