How it works: Once oxygen bleach comes in contact with water, a chemical reaction takes place and oxygen is released. The oxygen bubbles break down dirt, odours and bacteria.

I soak rather than add to the load, note oxy bleach needs warm to activate well! The packaging did spontaneously disintegrate so I recommend a note with the product suggesting you decant it right away. I eventually tried this bleach to clean the grout of the shower floor. Didn't matter how hard I scrubbed it just never seemed to get clean. So I applied it one morning and scrubbed a bit... then I had visitors and forgot about it - later when I went to the bathroom I remembered about the shower and quickly scrubbed a bit noticing a definite difference. I decided to leave it on and every time I had a bathroom break I quickly did a bit of scrubbing. That night after everyone had left I did a final scrub and then rinsed the shower. I was amazed. It was as good as new. My husband immediately commented on the results. Other benefits include my skin not being affected by it (as with harsh chemicals), and there was no strong chemical smell. It has been 2-3 weeks now and it seems like the grout doesn't get as dirty as before. I used it on bathroom curtains which had mould on them, and it removed the black mould spots.
