The Joinery
The Joinery is a sustainable design brand based in South Africa. Founded by Natalie and Kim Ellis, all products are made by local sewing cooperatives and seamstresses using felt fabric made from recycled plastic bottles - which contributes to turning potential waste into something positive. In 2017, The Joinery won Best Product using recycled PET at the PETCO Awards and Eco Innovation at the Eco – Logic Awards, respectively. The Joinery is on a journey to ensure they use sustainable processes from beginning to end, from recycled fabrics, packaging, donating offcuts to NGOs and offsetting their carbon footprint.
