Superlite Noodles, also known as shirataki noodles, are made from the root of the Asian konjac plant. The konjac plant primarily consists of a water-soluble dietery fiber called Konjac glucomannan and has been used in Japan for centuries. Glucomannan is one of nature’s richest sources of fiber boasting many health and weight loss benefits. Superlite noodles are carb free, sugar free, fat free, gluten free, soy free, wheat free, high in fiber, low in sodium, a highly alkaline food, and keeps you regular.

Place a colander in the sink. Cut open the package, drain noodles in colander and rinse for 1 minute under cold running water. Drain off the water. Then there are two methods of cooking, depending on what you’re preparing:

When making a stir-fry: Put your wok or your pan on a high heat. Add a healthy oil to the pan (we suggest olive oil, peanut oil, or avocado oil). Add some low sodium soy sauce, some chilli paste, or some pesto to taste. Fry for 2 minutes. Add the rest of your ingredients.

When making a saucy dish: Bring water to a boil in a pot, add a dash of salt and boil noodles for 1 minute. Drain.

Total Mass: 320g/ Drained Mass: 250g

A great substitute to pasta! As a Banting food, this is great. You get tired of veg substitutes! Really happy to have found these noodles!
I had spaghetti bolognsise for the first time in ages!
Will be trying them in my stir fry next.

It's definitely not pasta, so don't compare it to pasta, because you will be disappointed. However, it's a GREAT alternative and you can eat a LOT, because hey, NO CARBS! I made it with a lot of cabbage and ghee and baby marrow, but next time I'm adding bacon and cheese. Then the texture won't bother me AS much. I also think I'm going to try and fry it for a minute before adding it to the rest of the ingredients.

For those that have to avoid regular noodles they are great and very quick solution: open drain and toss in a hot sause, or stir fry etc They are more of noodles than pasta but I use as substitute for both

I really liked this. As an obligate low carb eater it was really nice to put this with some mince and cheese and feel like I was eating spaghetti again! It carries the flavour of whatever sauce you use well. The trick to making it is to wash it thoroughly in cold water, boil for about 2/3 minutes and then fry in a dry nonstick pan to allow some of the moisture to steam off. It is chewy but really tastes like nothing. Also great fibre. Dont be put off by the initial smell when you open the packet - that goes away when cooked.

These are definitely a good alternative to regular pasta, admittedly though I did find them a bit chewy, and the initial smell when you open the packet takes some getting used to, but overall I don't think they're bad at all.

I ordered a bag of these. Somehow I was sent the spinach flavoured one. Im not averse to spinach so I decided to keep it and try it. This is definitely on my top ten list of worst things ever eaten. Its chewy and slimy and doesn taste great either. Will never purchase again.

Shirataki is fabulous! The ooth feel is perfect for that pasta sensation, there is virtually no insulin response, there are no carb worries, it goes with all flavours. I am just unhappy with the packaging. Why does it have to come in small plastic packets (more waste!)??? Why not larger sizes? The planet needs fewer plastic baggies messing up our environment, not more.

I am currently on a strict elimination diet and I am happy to have come across this product. It does not have a taste to it but it was a great addition to my stir-fry,and I love the chewiness.

If only i had discovered these sooner! Absolutely the best alternative for pasta for Banters out there. Virtually calorie free - and the closest thing to pasta ever - and ready in 1 minute - i just dump them in the dish im cooking. Oh my word I can rave enough about them. Even my husband said
ot bad. No more julienning of baby marrows for me! Can wait to try the angel hair that i just bought.

I liked the texture of the noodles. I like my noodles to be a bit firm. I ate it with a nice stir fry. It reminded me of the Chinese ami you find everywhere in the Netherlands. I will definitely use them again and will use them in my Chines/Indonesian recipes. PLUS I love the fact that it is so healthy for you!

Lovely and low calorie. They taste great, however, upon opening packaging they smell terrible so beware. Otherwise I love eating these as empty calorie meals or adding to stir fry!

These also take some getting used to, like the Angel hairs but doable. I experimented with diff recipes, and I quite enjoyed them. I think these are better than the angel hairs too for some reason.

These noodles were amazing with stir fried veggies, Frys chicken-style soya strips, soya sauce, spring onions and coriander - just like that! It was so quick and easy. I feel satiated and it was absolutely delicious. The texture is slightly more chewy than usual, which to me adds to the perfection of the product.

These shirataki noodles taste a LOT better than others I have tried - its at least a bit soft. Like all of this type of noodle you have to rinse it properly to get rid of the slightly fishy smell, but I absolutely love this discovery. Cant wait to try the lasagne sheets.

The taste was expected but the texture takes a lot of getting used to even after cooking it longer than suggested. Ill try it with loads more vegetables next time. And fry the noodles in coconut oil first before adding the veg.

Delicious pasta, so long as you are creative with the sauce. It is, of course bland, but knowing that it is really good for you and you make a good healthy sauce / topping makes it worth it! Go to their website for some recipe ideas.

A great alternative to regular pastas. I have made stir frys, alfredos and bolognaise with it. Guilt free, perfect portion size for 2 people and very filling. Only downside its not exactly cost effective so for that i don give it 5 stars.

I assume superlite noodles are an acquired taste.I bought them on the assumption they were tasteless. I did not enjoy them at all, the taste and the smell. I wanted to enjoy eating guilt free pasta dishes, especially in the evening, and was hoping these noodles were the answer. Unfortunately not! But I am hoping these noodles, over time, they will eventually grow on me. But my first meal with these went straight to the bin :(

Like pasta should be el dente :) Filling and really very much like pasta texture. Bland if you taste it on its own but for some reason I feel it would go great with sushi. Once it was in its bolognaise sauce it was perfect.
