Filtered Almond Milk-Freshly made by yours truly.
for 1 glass of filtered almond milk or 3 glasses of non filtered milk:
1 Cup of blunched Almonds
3 Cups water
Soak the nuts in hot water for 30 mins or boil the nuts for 3 mins (Note that I soaked for 30 mins for more of a raw nut milk), rub the nuts together to easily remove the skin
Blend the blunched nuts and water in a blender
Can drink as is or filter the milk, for a finer milk I filtered it three times through a tea filter. You can make cheese from the pulp or use it in a curry. For a cheese you can add flavours like salt, pepper, etc squeeze the pulp in a fine cloth to make a hard block
You can make your own flavours by adding cloves/ilachi.31/01/2014, By WBSoak 1C almonds overnight in water.
Blend with 3C water.
Pour through a nutmilk bag, or cheese clothe.
This ratio is ideal in coffee, some call for 4C water which I find a bit weak.
You can use the leftover pulp as almond flour.
