I tried it for the first time over this weekend and it just did not do what I was hoping it would. Some of my dishes and cutlery needed a rewash after the full dishwasher cycle and, instead of leaving the delicious fragrance (or the smell of "clean" as I like to call it), it left my dishwasher smelling of steam and food. While it cleaned extremely well, it created so many suds, that my machine reflected an error code - and I used only a small amount (roughly 25ml). In fact, it was a hellish job to try and remove the suds, and I ended up having to wash and rinse the items three times to finally rid my machine of all the foam, etc. I will not use this product again. Works effectively, and has almost no scent. Once every couple weeks I do run a load with a conventional diswasher tab, to prevent build up in the machine.
I fill up to the tab line for a full dishwasher.
If you do like to rinse plates before putting them in the machine, just use plain water. If you have traces of hand dishwashing liquid on the plates when they go in the machine, it can create a lot of bubbles when it reacts with this product!10/02/2015, By MIRIAMEarthsap, you have done it again!
Since I started on the Green Path years ago, I have tried many different brands of Earth-Friendly Eco Green products, but none that compare to the constant quality and unbeatable price of EARTHSAP products.
We recently got a dishwasher and I have to say that I am very impressed with this dish-washing gel. It cleans well and smells great.

If your dishes have a slight white "powder" on them it might be because you're using too much of the washer for the amount of dishes in the washer. You don't need to use as much as you think.
