Carol Surya is a counselling psychologist based in Johannesburg who has worked as a child therapist for many years, both privately and doing extensive community development in townships and under-privileged rural communities across South Africa. Her experience has also taken her further afield across the world. All of this experience inspired a passion and desire to create practical, easily accessible tools to help adults access and enhance the inner potential of today’s children. She believes that it is up to parents to help access the potential and magic in the amazing children of today’s generation.

After working with traumatised survivors from the 2004 tsunami disaster, she realised it was also important to create tools to help children learn to express and manage their feelings in a non-threatening environment. So she developed the Inner Magic Game that can be played by adults and kids together, as well as wrote the book Parent Magic, both packed with tools for your magical parenting kit that will help you improve your relationship with your child, understanding them better, helping them build healthy self-esteem, cope with the ups and downs of life, and even learn the secret code language kids speak – Kiddic!
