De Villiers has a wide and wonderful range of vegan-friendly chocolates that are filled to the brim with local flavour. De Villiers cocoa beans are Rainforest Alliance certified and ethically and sustainably sourced from Western Uganda. The beans were carefully chosen due to their earthy and fruity notes that reflect the vibrant energy of the area in which they’re sourced. De Villiers chocolates are created in South Africa from bean to bar. Their products are free from GMOs, artificial flavours, colourants & additives. Based in Paarl in the Western Cape, De Villiers was the first bean to bar chocolate maker in South Africa. Today they’re still one of a handful of companies to produce premium chocolate on the African continent. De Villiers started in 2010 by Pieter de Villiers and his wife Cornell who decided to follow their passion for chocolate making. Building from the ground up they converted their garage into a world-class chocolate factory.
