Is Molkosan suitable for long or short term use? 
You can take Molkosan for as long as necessary. A month’s course is recommended initially. It can be taken on an ongoing basis if needed, or another course can be taken after a while to maintain improvements.

Can you take Molkosan with other medications? 

Can Molkosan be taken by children? 
Children under the age of six with digestive problems should be taken to a doctor or another healthcare professional. Children over the age of six may well benefit from a course of Molkosan.

As far back as 400 BC Hippocrates recommended whey to his patients as a health tonic. In ancient Greece it was recommended to improve digestion, purify blood, protect against poisoning, and for skin problems. During the 1700’s and 1800’s, whey cure establishments flourished in Europe, and royalty and commoners alike converged on these ‘spa’s’ seeking whey’s curative properties for myriad conditions ranging from low blood sugar to eczema.

Whey’s popularity once again soared in the mid-1900’s, in a town called Appenzell in Switzerland home to the famous Appenzeller cheese. Renowned Swiss naturopath Dr Alfred Vogel, who lived near Appenzell was greatly impressed by this sharp, refreshing drink and wrote about it repeatedly throughout his life.When he studied the Apennzeller whey Vogel observed its numerous curative and beneficial health properties. He created Molkosan by formulating a four times concentrated form of the whey and prescribed it for skin problems, indigestion, sore throats, laryngitis, diabetes and as a pancreas tonic. Today it is used by people in more than 23 countries to improve their health.

Molkosan is rich in lactic acid in its beneficial physiological form, L(+)-lactic acid, which is essential in preparing the digestive system for processing the food we eat. Beneficial for people with lactose intolerance, because the L(+)-lactic acid helps to break down the protein and lactose in milk. L(+)-lactic acid also helps the small intestine to absorb minerals such as calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium and copper.

On average a human consumes an incredible 30 000 kg food and 50 000 litres of fluid in a lifetime. Every morsel of this food and every drop we drink must be broken down, digested and absorbed, and the waste eliminated, in order to give us energy and produce healthy new cells.

Did you know that every few seconds your body produces more than 50 000 new cells? To perform this vital task it needs good food, and needs to absorb it properly. If these conditions are not met you may suffer from low energy levels, an inactive immune system, memory problems, malnutrition, skin problems … the list is endless.

Molkosan for diabetics and insulin resistance:
Further studies on the effect of Molkosan on blood sugar and insulin levels in healthy people, diabetics and people with insulin resistance have shown that Molkosan:

  • Effectively reduces glucose levels after ingestion of carbohydrates
  • Does not increase insulin levels
  • Reduces the glycaemic index
  • Increases the body’s insulin sensitivity if you are insulin resistant.

Molkosan has a unique sour taste. While it may be taken at any time, Vogel recommended drinking a teaspoonful in a glass of water 20 minutes before meals. If you find the taste hard to get used to, mix it with apple juice and wash that down with a glass of water.

After oppening, store in the fridge. Product keeps for 6 months if stored in the fridge.

Serving Suggestions

  • Molkosan Drink: Add 1 teaspoonful (or 1 tablespoon, if desired) to a glass of a refreshing drink.
  • Molkosan Fruit Drink: Mash fresh fruit in a blender, add 1 tablespoon of Molkosan to your taste. Drink warm or iced. Makes a very refreshing drink that is especially pleasant after exercising.
