Buchu (Agathosma Betulina) is endemic to South Africa and grows naturally in the mountainous areas of the South Western Cape.
General Health Tonic: In Africa, buchu has been used for many generations as a general tonic or elixir to promote overall wellbeing. It contains the following minerals: potassium, calcium, magnesium, nitrogen and sodium, phosphate, manganese. It also provides the following: Anti-oxidants, Vitamins A, B, C and E, and the following flavonoids: Diosmin, hesperidin, quercitin and rutin - plant chemicals that have protective and disease preventative properties.
Urinary Tract Disinfectant: Buchu help to aid or prevent infections to the genito-urinary system like urethritis, cystitis, prostatitis, catarrh of the bladder and dysuria.
Buchu grows naturally in virgin soil and without the aid of pesticides. The buchu is harvested from the wild by hand. It is dried and shredded, steam treated and packed in tea bags. The tea bags are sealed in a foil pouch to maintain freshness. Buchu is a traditional healing herb and belongs to the fynbos plant kingdom.
Buchu leaves are sweepers or natural detox agents. When surplus water is retained in the body it can become toxic, causing illnesses like high blood pressure, uric acid, gout and others. A Sweeper (or detox agent), like buchu, helps the body to naturally rid itself of any excess water.
Buchu leaves offer natural relief from menstrual problems such as cramps and bloating. It is approved by the American Food and Drug organisation as a natural weight management supplement. It also carries European Union approval.

I have been struggling with recurring urinary tract infections for a few years now and was constantly bombarded with antibiotics as my doctors solution. This broke my whole system down making me very susceptible for any infections. I even went to a bladder doctor who could not find any physical reason for me to constantly have bladder infection. Now I just drink this tea and Goldenrod drops and all is sorted. Lost a bit of faith in the whole medical practice because of this...As God intended
