Wet the skin, shake well, puddle into one cupped hand, spread over the hands, then face, neck & arms.

I suspect the oils in the product are the cause, but I had a rather bad recurrence of my acne. Also, the smell is a little off putting. I basically bought an expensive lotion I will use on my body instead.
