It’s high in protein, vitamin E and beta carotene, free of sodium and cholesterol, and full of nourishing fatty acids. Recipe for Paleo Pecan Caramel Bars:


  • Preheat the oven to 375°.
  • Mix the coconut oil, raw honey & vanilla extract into the pecan flour, until you get a thick buttery mixture.
  • Mix in the almond flour, baking soda, baking powder & salt
  • Add the egg & whisk all ingredients together.
  • Spread the mixture evenly over a loaf pan, greased with coconut oil.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, until cooked completely through.
  • While the crust bakes, blend the dates in your food processor until they start to break down.
  • Add the coconut milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, while the food processor is still running.
  • Add the water, vanilla extract & a pinch of salt. Process until you get a delicious caramel sauce.
  • Let the crust cool for about 10-15 minutes. Spoon over the caramel in a thick smooth layer.
  • Cut into slices. Refrigerate for30-60 minutes to set. Enjoy!
