Although organic olive oil contains only small amounts of omega-3 fatty acids, the high oleic acid content may aid in incorporating omega-3 fatty acid into cell membranes. It is rich in antioxidants and phytonutrients. Extra virgin organic olive oil should be sought since many commercial brands are solvent extracted. The Crede organic olive oil is certified organic by Argencert.

Extra virgin olive oil comes from the first pressing of the olives, contains no more than 0.8% acidity, and is judged to have a superior taste. There can be no refined oil in extra-virgin olive oil.
