Born out of a day spa in 1992, Sanctum was a pioneer in the natural, personal care industry. Inspired by the purity and tranquillity of Byron Bay Australia, Sanctum was developed by a biochemist whose dream was to create a line of personal care products that were effective and natural.
In 2005 Sanctum realised the need to refresh their formulas. Natural was not enough anymore and the decision was made to become certified organic. It took over two years to improve the company’s manufacturing facilities and formulations and to meet the strict, world leading, Australian Government standards, which are independently audited by the Organic Food Chain. Sanctum’s vision was to create a range that was as pure as possible while retaining the effectiveness synonymous with the Sanctum brand. As a result, Sanctum is now a certified organic and 100% naturally derived range that has the highest level of purity and integrity and doesn’t jeopardize the emollient effects on the skin.
Sanctum remains a family owned and run business. The products are suitable for the whole family and include a range of body, hair, men’s and baby care products.
