Almond Breeze milk

Please be careful with this make. I have read on various health sites and Dr Mercola that this product does not even contain almonds.

This was most certainly the most disappointing purchase I made from Faithful to Nature. Although the service was great... the product was terrible! It is gritty, watery and tastes really bad. Plus its bad value for money as this only makes 1 litre. You e better off buying the unsweetened Almond Breeze milk (1 litre) for +-R35 which I find at Pick n Pay

This milk really ups the taste of a smoothy. Especially love it with banana or blueberries. Also allows me to sneak some almonds into my nieces diet.
Almond Milk Powder

This almond milk powder is slightly gritty when hydrated, with a sweet vanilla flavour. I love adding it to smoothies and blending with protein powders as the nutritional profile is excellent! (32g protein/100g product)
I recommend this product

I agree that the homemade almond milk tastes much better, but this is a great substitute for when you are travelling or don have the time to make your own almond milk.

I have bought this before and it tastes horrible and fake. I have made fresh delicious almond milk before, here is the recipe:
Filtered Almond Milk-Freshly made by yours truly.
for 1 glass of filtered almond milk or 3 glasses of non filtered milk:
1 Cup of blunched Almonds
3 Cups water
Soak the nuts in hot water for 30 mins or boil the nuts for 3 mins (Note that I soaked for 30 mins for more of a raw nut milk), rub the nuts together to easily remove the skin
Blend the blunched nuts and water in a blender
Can drink as is or filter the milk, for a finer milk I filtered it three times through a tea filter. You can make cheese from the pulp or use it in a curry. For a cheese you can add flavours like salt, pepper, etc squeeze the pulp in a fine cloth to make a hard block
You can make your own flavours by adding cloves/ilachi.
Better to make your own!

Soak 1C almonds overnight in water.
Blend with 3C water.
Pour through a nutmilk bag, or cheese clothe.
This ratio is ideal in coffee, some call for 4C water which I find a bit weak.
You can use the leftover pulp as almond flour.
Keeps for about 4 days in the fridge.
