BUT, the packaging is awful – the 'lid' always pops out, so it messes everywhere in the middle of washing my hair! And it also somehow gets into the non-pour part of the lid, so it gets full of mold. Africa Organics Marula Hair Care has been a fine choice, for my first adventure into natural hair products. The shampoo lathers well with a second (small) application and has pleasant peppermint smell. It might be a little overpowering for some people. It definitely leaves my hair squeaky clean. Between highlights and using gentian violet to keep brassy tones away, my hair became super brittle and dry so I didn't expect this conditioner was going to help all that much, but YAY, it really has. I was bitterly disappointed with the results! Used on its own, it leaves my hair dry and brittle. Ive had to mix it with a tablespoonof coconut oil to get the desired effect.
