I use it over salads, stir-fry and basically everything that needs extra flavour20/10/2021, By AdrieSo I was diagnosed with two autoimmune diseases which necessitated a drastic change to my diet and MANY things had to be excluded... and that also included many flavour profiles I have used over the years. Many people will hold this forward as a substitute for soya sauce, and yes, if you add a little nutritional yeast, a little lemon juice I think it would do the trick, but don't order this with too many preconceived ideas of what it will taste like and what you will be able to use it for. It has not nasty elements in it and we have used it an many many things as a substitute for soya sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and just as a condiment that brings a deeper flavour profile to food that we have been missing. It is a little sweeter that you would expect, but you have to just keep in mind you use such a tiny amount in your food it is not going to make the dish sweet (and a bottle is likely to last a LONG time). Try it out and I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!28/05/2021, By MicheleThis stuff is so yummy it's addictive. Already bought another bottle for back up. It's a good substitute for soya sauce, but if using for sushi, you will find it sweeter than your regular brands. It's more a sweet soya sauce flavour. I've put this in fried rice, soup, in my salad dressing and even my 6 year old loves it and dips his meat into it. It's a good sub for a flavour sauce like Worcestershire or Maggie for flavour.
The only down side is its pricy and it goes pretty quickly as it is so tasty and addictive. Much more than Kikkoman. Tasty and great alternative to soy sauce for those of us who are sensitive to soy.
However, if you have a known sensitivity to coconut, this might cause an allergic reaction.

I had no idea what I was purchasing except I was told that I can no longer have soy because of my Hashimoto's and the coconut aminos was recommended as a substitute. Well, I was pleasantly surprised because the flavours are truly awesome. We made a stir fry the other night and used it in the stir fry and it was absolutely scrumptious.
