Sodium hydroxide - yes looks scary - is an ingredient in all soap claiming to be
atural or hand made. Without it, saponification (the chemical reaction of turning fat, water and lye into a soap) cannot take place. Its like trying to make wine without yeast or sugar. Strictly speaking, it is no longer sodium hydroxide once the soap has cured.24/02/2017, By FamilyI\m perplexed as to why this product would contain an inorganic compound and a highly caustic metallic base and alkali of sodium - Sodium Hydroxide!! Not for me thanks.11/01/2017, By ShariThis product is really nice. Gentle on the skin and leaves you feeling softer and more refreshed.18/11/2016, By AnnariI am really pleased with this soap. It lathers well, but not too much and smells lovely. It is gentle.28/07/2016, By SuninaThis soap really makes your skin feel like it was detoxed. It lathers well and smells good.
