Here’s the nitty-gritty on how this grime-busting laundry powder gets to work:
- Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) releases carbon dioxide bubbles, which help to lift out dirt and grime.
- Soda ash (oxygen bleach) releases pure oxygen bubbles when it mixes with water. These bubbles break down dirt and get rid of germs. It also brightens white fabrics.
- Sodium chloride (salt) is a natural cleansing and deodorising agent.
- Bentonite clay helps to banish harmful bacteria.
- Grapefruit oil cuts through grease and grime, and adds a fresh citrus scent to your laundry.
- Lavender oil is a natural disinfectant, and will also leave your fabrics smelling wonderfully fresh.
Directions
Use ¼ to ½ cup per load. Also suitable for hand washing.
