These reusable pads are made in the Woman-Kind Fair Trade workshop in Kommetjie, Cape Town. The pads are created using absorbent Cotton fabric.
- Pack of 2 large reusable cloth sanitary pads
- Made from 100% Cotton in a funky, colourful pattern
- Soft, absorbent & breathable; no synthetic fibres, glues or plastics
- Easy to clean & care for
- Affordable & cost-effective, saving money & waste
- Design includes “wings” that can be fastened with a press-stud
Better for you: Because these reusable pads are not worn internally, they eliminate the risk of toxic shock syndrome (TSS) associated with tampons.
Better for the planet: Reusable pads give you years of use, while ordinary disposable pads can take as long as 500 years to biodegrade!
All Woman-Kind products include an informative leaflet, and are hygienically packaged in biodegradable eco-plastic packets from Green Home.
Please Note: The “funky fabric” pads will vary in colour, as we mix things up to keep things fun. The outside will be made of different colour towelling, with the outside bottom in a funky complementary fabric.

30/09/2020, By NabeelaAlthough they are absorbent and their colours are cool, I found that they didn't sit well and kept moving around, causing a horrifically messy situation. I'm afraid to use them unless I'm wearing bike shorts or something on as well.26/02/2020, By NoeleenHighly disappointing. As product is made from natural products. When I received it the entire packaging including the pads are covered in a vile (toxic) fragrance!!! So much for saving the environment! I specifically am trying these as I suffer from IEI/TILT/MSC which is short for I cannot handle any toxin or fragrances, perfumes, essential oils, etc, whatsoever! This product is definitely not for us FRAGRANCE FREE people! I can just as well go and buy some toxic filled fragranced pads!18/07/2019, By ArinaVery beautiful cloth pad.. Easy to use and easy to wash.
I use it on the days that my flow is not so heavy and when I sleep.30/10/2018, By CatherineQuite small - despite ordering the large ones - also, they don't stay in place04/12/2017, By RuthI love these things, they are a real money saver and great for the environment! I will definitely buy again.
They do leak occasionally, but if you change it often enough it shouldn't be a big problem. I have also found that it helps to secure the pad to your underwear with a safety pin; this also minimizes leakage and eliminates the problem of the press studs coming off.05/07/2017, By CheThis is a fantastic add on to the Mooncup for me - I've never had a heavy period so I use these at night and on the last day and it works wonderfully for me and my sensitive lady bits! Feels good to be good to myself and the environment!28/06/2016, By PaulaThese are a great idea because
- less waste
- local
But think they need to refine their design. My experience was as follows:
- leaks very very quickly. The blood just runs through to your panty. There is no barrier to force the blood to spread into the rest of the pad, so the size of the pad is a bit irrelevant;
- I do not like the black color (not a problem with the other colors) as you cannot see the blood and have no idea of how full the pad is, what your flow is like;
- The metal fastening came off one of the pads after one wash (I have about 10 pads in total from womankind and this happened with two of the pads)
- The small size pad feels
opey between your legs, it is not broad enough to create a flat area against our body
I would not recommend it to anyone but a die-hard greeny, as this might put you off the idea of leaving behind your mainstream pads and tampons.
Small changes from the manufacturer will make a HUGE difference.18/02/2016, By SamanthaI have very sensitive skin and have had problems with most sanitary products for quite a while so I decided to try these reusable pads. To be entirely honest they did take a while to get used to as they are quite thick, but I did not find them any trouble to clean if you have enough for rotation. They are very absorbent and are much less irritating then conventional pads but you do end up washing more than usual. After giving them a fair shot I much prefer them to the menstrual cup which I found to cause slight irritation. Overall a great product that I would recommend to others, especially if you have sensitive skin.25/11/2015, By AndreaI use the sea sponge tampons with the fabric pads and found it very comfortable. It was no hassle to clean either of them. On my heavier flow days I use my MiaCup with the fabric pads and on the lighter days the sea sponge tampons. In my last cycle I did not even have cramps and the fabric pads contained any leaks I experienced on the heavy days. I can recommend these products wholeheartedly. It is great not to have to throw away disposables or buy any so I saved a lot of money in the old end.01/09/2015, By KerryI ordered the Woman-Kind Reusable Menstrual Pads (2 Large and 2 Small) and was very happy with the combination. Easy to clean, comfortable to wear (day and night). Needed less frequent changes than disposables in comparison. No leaks, highly absorbent. I got a very quick answer to a query I sent to the contact person from Woman-Kind. Did not irritate skin at all (again comparing to disposable products). Was so nice to not create waste.30/06/2015, By ImogenI absolutely love my fabric pads.
They are comfortable, super absorbent, easy to clean and does not move around while you
e wearing them.
I would highly recommend this product to all woman out there!!!
Very well priced
Thank you for a wonderful, colorful product
