The handle is made of MOS bamboo, an environmentally sustainable timber. Bamboo is technically considered a member of the grass family. It is the fastest growing plant on earth, and incredibly abundant. The bamboo is cultivated for between three to five years, and then harvested. It re-generates itself naturally, with minimal rain and without the need for harmful pesticides. In fact, by harvesting and using the bamboo, we help to control unwanted spread into agricultural and natural forest areas. The bamboo is grown by many local farmers (NOT PLANTATION).
The bamboo is heat treated to carbonise the surface of the bamboo, giving it a quality finish and good service life. The carbonisation finishing process provides water resistance and prevents the growth of microbes (bacteria and moulds) during normal use.
The bristles are made from a polymer resistant to microbial growth during normal use, to ensure safety and durability.
We recommend you rinse and dry your toothbrush after use to keep it clean.
Disposing of your toothbrush
For best results, most dentist's recommend you replace your toothbrush either monthly or at least every quarter some even say use it until it stops.
To answer the main question, HOW LONG DOES IT LAST? - We test drove a toothbrush for over 8 months so yes they last (not that we suggest you do that).
The Environmental Toothbrush can be disposed of safely by returning it to earth in compost or landfill. Both the bamboo and bristles will biodegrade into soil, without pollution.
China’s Giant Panda consumes the soft bamboo shoots, stems and leaves as its main food source. The Environmental Toothbrush honours this environmental mascot in the logo. Because bamboo is so abundant, sustainable and renewable our use does not impact on the food source of the Giant Panda in fact they do not like the MOSO bamboo.

Yes yes yes! Environmentally friendly and does the job :) Love the look and feel too.30/09/2017, By JolandiExcellent! As good as a normal toothbrush in every way but good for the environment. I quite like the soft bristles and think it is reasonably soft.23/09/2017, By NitaQuality was beyond what I expected! I have sensitive gums and the soft bristle is perfect18/08/2017, By AnelUsing less plastic and helping the environment AND having a great toothbrush = WIN :)17/08/2017, By JasmineThe best toothbrush I've ever used. More than a novelty, although it's pretty cool to use. Feels exactly like a normal toothbrush will never use plastic ones again!06/08/2017, By CandzI love how light this toothbrush is to hold, and I'm convinced the natural bristles froth the toothpaste even better than a plastic one. Not only is it great for the environment, but great to use as well! This is definitely the only toothbrush I will use from on...and I will be persuading friends and family to do the same.26/07/2017, By IndievibesWonderful product!! Will never go back to the usual toothbrushes
12/07/2017, By JanetI chose the soft option and it is not soft (I would maybe rate it medium). Very disappointed as was really hoping to find a great eco-friendly solution but the brush is too hard.08/07/2017, By TanyaYes and No.. I really wanted an eco toothbrush.. but.. the soft bristle brush is still super hard, its not a soft toothbrush at all..the hard toothbrush then must be the same as a nailbrush.. my dentist told me that we are brushing our gums away with all these hard toothbrushes.. and gums cant grow back.. secondly when the wood gets wet it has a weird mouth feel to it..I think a little coating on the wood wouldn't hurt.. thirdly I bought two brushes for my husband and I.. but they look exactly the same... who's brush is who's because they are all the same colour.. and design? not that I have the need for a pink toothbrush.. but just a small indicator to know which one is which one..(maybe a small picture of a Panda Pappa or a bamboo twig..?) I had to mark it myself.. I think the product developers should have a sit down with a dentist.. or compare the product with other products.. I feel great about the panda.. but I want to feel great using it too..28/06/2017, By HeatherI am converted to these bamboo toothbrushes. They brush well, feel great and are great for the environment! You just have to be careful not to confuse yours with other family members :-)09/06/2017, By CorienBought 2. One works fine, but the otherone had a crack through the top and the bristles came out after one use.05/06/2017, By LauNo complaints, just got to mark my brush with a marker so we don't mix tooth brushes02/06/2017, By KarenBristles last well and affordable28/05/2017, By Ajgreat buy!28/05/2017, By Ajgreat buy!24/05/2017, By ArlineSuch a nice toothbrush, not only good looking but really nice and soft and small
I'm happy23/05/2017, By FatimaI like this toothbrush a lot. I took the advice of some reviewers who said that the medium bristle is too hard (I used a medium bristle in the plastic brush). The soft one is perfect. I wish it had the tongue scraper thing at the back.30/04/2017, By StephThis toothbrush is amazing! Removes plaque well and leaves my teeth feeling so clean. This brush also scrubs the tongue really well. It does have a wooden taste though like eating an ice cream off a stick.26/10/2016, By JanetIve just bought my third replacement brush - have been using these for about 2 years... LOVE it. I do prefer the soft bristles to the medium ones, but of course that is personal preference. Highly recommended product, very much worth it.02/08/2016, By DeanneThe bristles are nice and soft and its not abrasive on my teeth at all. I don see the point in buying a commercial toothbrush when this one does the job and saves the environment. Will definitely keep purchasing it.02/06/2016, By SamLove my toothbrush - am never going to buy anything else. I tend to brush quite hard so the soft bristles are perfect!!! Best thing is that I feel rocks now about discarding it when its lifespan is over...no worries about creating more toxic landfill11/03/2016, By SandraLove these toothbrushes - I won use anything else.22/12/2015, By JacoThe bristles are nice and soft which works well with my sensitive gums. It is important to let the toothbrush dry after every use though because I think it could get mouldy rather quickly.06/10/2015, By JustinLike some others here I too am guilty of brushing harder than I should, the soft brush cleans perfectly and is very gentle on the gums.16/09/2015, By sashaVery soft and gentle on the gums, and the company is cruelty-free and does not test on animals, like just about every other dental care company in South Africa. Will buy again and again.15/04/2015, By M. Paloma WernerAfter first getting the medium toothbrush, which I found too hard I switched to the soft one and it is perfect. I love the fact that it is biodegradable and the wood looks nice.11/12/2014, By TaraI love this toothbrush! The fact that its bio-degradeable and sustainable to produce makes it wonderful. The product itself is great, cleans my teeth and does its job! Would recommend it to everyone to use. I use the soft bristle on as it is gentler on my gums as I tend to brush too hard.24/08/2011, By MelanieI think it was in my previous order I ordered the wooden toothbrushes for me and my son - both of us, LOVE our
toothbrushes! It feels as if cleanses and brushes much better that the traditional x-brands lol,
and even my son prefers the wooden one above his spider-man brush - and that must say a lot,
can you believe it lol?26/05/2011, By JessicaLoving this product! None of those silly toothbrush gimmicks. Although I think next time I will go for the medium bristle because the soft is a bit too soft for my liking.
