The Bamboo Project is a South African company that creates plant-based alternatives to single-use plastics. The Bamboo Project items are made using natural materials that are sustainably sourced in Southeast Asia, such as coconut shells and bamboo.
Plastic straws and single-use cutlery take many decades to start breaking down. They pollute the waterways and kill marine life. The vision of The Bamboo Project is to help change the mindset around single-use products, and encourage more people to say no to plastic.
The bamboo used in The Bamboo Project range is grown in panda-free zones, meaning it doesn’t endanger the natural habitat of pandas in Southeast Asia. All products are handmade in South Africa.
