****Ingredient Notice: Sodium benzoate is listed as a nasty in our pocket guide when used for food, so why do we allow it in some of our cosmetics and cleaning products? Firstly, the amount of sodium benzoate used in cosmetics or cleaning products is much smaller than that used in food as a preservative. Furthermore, the sodium benzoate molecules are too large to be absorbed by your skin. This preservative has been allowed by ECOCERT, the Soil Association and BDIH; it has been ranked by the EWG as having a low risk of 1. However, there are reports circulating online that warn against usage of sodium benzoate even in cosmetics. We believe it is still one of the safer preservatives, but as always, we wanted you to fully informed and empowered. The choice is yours to make.
2 out of 2 people would recommend this product28/01/2018, By FlorenceI have chemically and colour treated fine hair that tangles up easily. I absolutely fell in love with this shampoo's detangling power hence it gets a 3.
I usually shampoo after a hot oil treatment and it was a challenge with this shampoo. It doesnt foam much which is okay but my hair still felt like it had a hot oil treatment after a wash. It was as if I had just rinsed my hot oil treatment with plain water. Anyone with oily hair might not like the feeling.
It also left my scalp oily and since i already have an oily scalp my hair fell like an avalanche:(
I would recommend this for someone with dry scalp and hair.28/04/2015, By AneesaThis shampoo is targeted for normal to oily hair but I find that it works for my dry curly hair too. I use this with the Naturalmente Intensive Hydrating treatment as the Soul Tree conditioner is currently out of stock. The shampoo is runny but gel-like and hardly foams. The first wash left my hair quite dry but smooth and friz free - a very strange sensation. However after a few more times of using this, my hair has become very soft and shiny with lots of bounce and volume. I have sensitive scalp and get next to no irritation or dandruff with this shampoo. Its an unusual yet quality product. I can wait to try the Soul Tree shampoo for damaged hair. Im givign this 4 stars as its ticked all my boxes despite not being for my hair type.
