All Pure Simple liquid soaps are handmade using only the finest natural vegetable oils, are fully biodegradable and are specially formulated to be mild and gentle on the skin with a rich creamy lather. They contain no artificial additives, preservatives, cosmetic fragrances, synthetic surfactants, mineral oils or petroleum based ingredients.
Pure olive oil soap is sometimes referred to as castile soap, and is known for it's mild and gentle action.
Did you know? Caustic potash (also called lye or potassium hydroxide) is used to turn oil into liquid soap but once it has been thoroughly mixed with the oils (4 - 6 hours) the caustic potash is neutralised - no more oil - no more caustic potash - just pure mild safe-to-use liquid soap. All Pure Simple liquid soaps are sequestered for 2 - 3 weeks before being sold.

14 out of 25 people would recommend this product02/10/2018, By KalinkaNice and gentle, works well for baby, who has very sensitive skin. Does leave a moisturizing residue afterwards, so don't expect a squeaky clean!31/08/2018, By LolosHaven’t used it, but very runny...will have to see.30/08/2018, By Lee-AnneLike that it comes in 1L but do not like the packaging. It’s very watery and you don’t really feel clean afterwards. I’d suggest only for a hand wash but even then it would be messy14/08/2018, By MariaLove the new bottle that makes it foam when comes out!! Gentle on your hands, I use it for my baby and for us too07/08/2018, By MeganI really like this soap and I am using it as a hand wash in my bathroom. I will buy the large bottle next time.23/07/2018, By NatalieI love this product. It is simple and gentle. I add some honey & olive oil to it to use as a lovely, luxurious moisturizing body wash.14/05/2018, By HellizmaWhen I initially started using this, I found it to be quite drying (I have chemically treated hair). I have since decided to add herbal infusions, essential oils and honey, and I will now be washing my hair with this only. The results have been amazing09/04/2018, By BrigetteI am not happy with this soap. IT is very thin and burned baby's eyes. Right after using it I goat a rash - It might have been caused by something else, but I will not be using this soap anymore06/04/2018, By HannaSo so watery and doesn’t spread very nicely. Left my hair feeling oily and not clean. Maybe if the product was more thick like a body was or shampoo it might work but won’t be buying this again:(13/03/2018, By AbigailThis is extremely runny and difficult to work with. It also takes extra rinsing as it has a stucky oily texture. The soap bar version of this is my favourite, my sensitive skin appreciates there being no essential oils. I tried this as a body wash and shampoo (twice after a reaction to a shampoo while it was calming. Difficult to speead, doesn't foam and leaves oily) and ended up using most up as hand wash (squirts everywhere and extra rinsing) and using last bit in a cleaning spray.20/11/2017, By CorinneI wanted to make my own body wash but this wasnt great to use, very runny felt like i was wasting too much.23/10/2017, By AliciaPretty good castille soap...i use it for making foamy hand soap, body wash and foamy face wash. Add a few essential oils and you are good to go19/10/2017, By SharonIt left a sticky/fatty feeling on my hands after washing them, I didn't like that.05/06/2017, By CheyI love this soap as it is very delicate on my sensitive skin and is so much more moisturizing than other soaps. This product is great to use in making your own gentle face cleanser or any other type of body cleanser.02/11/2016, By TheritaMy 2-year old daughter has super sensitive skin and reacts to some natural essential oils, so I thought this product would be great for her. But I was really disappointed. :(
The soap is very watery and runs out of my hands, so I feel Im using much more than necessary (than if it was slightly thicker). Its also not great as a shampoo as it doesn lather and leaves my daughters hair looking oily.
I definitely won buy this product again. :(09/09/2016, By CorreneThe description says family friendly and can be used on kids and babies as soap and a shampoo. My son screams his head off when we use this soap as it burns his eyes. Leaves mine feeling red and sore too. Its also very watery. Don like it.26/04/2016, By EsmeI don know whether its meant to be like that, but I found this soap to be very watery, meaning a lot of product is wasted upon application and I found I had to use much more to get it foaming so that the bottle didn last very long in the end. The smell also wasn great. One good thing though was that it never left my skin feeling dry. Maybe I just got a bad batch?13/09/2015, By KateI really liked the idea of a neutral liquid soap I could add my own essential oils to. But I didn like this product. It really clings to the hands so you have to scrub longer to get it off, and it does have a faint smell- of rancid olive oil. Texture was too liquid, so it doesn pump where you expect it to, so we had a lot of guests getting soap on the counter or going over the basin. Also the lid wasn screwed on tightly so when my order arrived all the other items in the box were covered in it.23/07/2015, By LainaMy whole family uses this soap as a shower gel. I touch of our own favourite essential oil and it is great! It is gentle on my babys skin too!13/07/2015, By JasonThis is great for me. A little can go along way if you lather the soap on hands before applying to body. Works well for my skin allergies to fragrances and eczema. Nice and natural.27/05/2015, By LuaneAlthough I liked the smell of the product - I found it too runny so it just runs through my washcloth,15/04/2015, By MaudI use it to wash my face and my body. Love it as it rinses easily, not like the supermarket products that takes 5 mins to rinse and leave a oily feeling.
Doesn burn my eyes at all when washing my face.
love it.26/12/2014, By MeganThis product is very mild as a body wash, however, as a hairdresser, I have been struggling to find something gentle and natural to cleanse my scalp. My son and I suffers from a hereditary scalp condition which is often confused with dandruff. I have recently started using it and already see a 95% improvement. Its also perfect for or our dry hair as the product is olive oil based. It might take one, maybe two washes to get use to this completely sulfate free product.11/05/2014, By TerriI purchased this product to be used as a baby wash and shampoo for my 2 year old as he has sensitive skin and therefore try to stick to products with simple natural ingredients. Please do not use this on kids as a shampoo unless you want a screaming toddler. I couldnt understand why my son kept crying at bath time which was unusual, until I decided to try it out as a face wash and realised that this really stings your eyes. I think using it as a face wash is ok for adults, it does feel quite cleansing although it does not lather. Just dont accidentally get any in your eyes and do not use on kids.09/10/2011, By IlseI am shockingly dissapointed in this product. though I love the Simple Pure olive soap, the bodywash needs a lot of improvement. It doesnt foam.... at all. I find myself having to use a large quantity to wash each area.... thus obviously you use it finish quicker.
I think Pure Simple should stick to their soaps and not venture any further into the bodywashes.
Thank goodness I bought my trusty Earthsap bodywash alongside this one... so I had a backup at least. O_0
