This charming story book teaches young children about facing their fears and believing in themselves. Written in an easy-to-follow rhyme, Oliver’s Outline follows the tale of Oliver, a little boy trying to cope with everyday anxieties and fears. Oliver is drawn a little differently to his family and friends – he doesn’t have an outline, and this worries him constantly. But when Oliver embarks on a journey of self-discovery, he realises that his outline was there all along; he just had to start recognising his own strengths to see it! Oliver’s Outline by local author Alan Glass makes a lovely gift for young readers; great for reading along with parents or grandparents.

Its a sweet story with a lovely message and my child (4 years old) did enjoy it. Although we talked about the book together, discussing some of the central concepts and she asked a lot of questions, I'm not entirely convinced she "got" it or that the message the author tried to convey really hit home, or could be grasped by her age group.
