Oaklands Gourmet Mushrooms
Based locally in Bovlei, Wellington, in the Western Cape, the team at Oakland Gourmet Mushrooms spent a full year researching the cultivation of mushrooms, especially the King Oyster mushroom before commencing business. After finding a South African strain on their farm, they spent the last 6 months cultivating it under lab conditions, resulting in their superior product. Starting with King Oyster mushrooms, they plan to expand production to a variety of other mushrooms shortly.
