Arctic cod (Skrei) is naturally high in the most important omega-3s—eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), and also contains naturally occurring vitamins A and D. The stocks of this high-quality fish are not at risk of being over-fished. In fact, they are at an all-time high and strong spawning stock ensures a healthy future. While some companies use other fish or synthetic fillers in their cod liver oil, Nordic Naturals Arctic Cod Liver Oil is made from 100% Arctic cod.
Sustainably Sourced from Pure Arctic Waters.
For our Arctic Cod Liver Oil, we source wild Arctic cod from the Norwegian Sea off the coast of the Lofoten Islands. This fishery complies with the stringent Norwegian Fisheries Management system. They employ quotas, minimum fish-size restrictions, and GPS tracking, while monitoring spawning stock, the juvenile population, predators and prey, as well as fishing methods to ensure flourishing fish stocks.
One teaspoon daily, with food, or as directed by your health care professional or pharmacist.
Purified arctic cod liver oil, natural orange flavour, d-alpha tocopherol, rosemary extract (a natural preservative).
