Used for millennia, and well documented throughout the Middle Ages, and has been used in Chinese traditional medicine for over 2000 years. Widely known as “one of nature’s greatest medicinal herbs”, Comfrey baths were very common during the Middle Ages, and in folk medicine it is referred to as “knitbone” for its ability to speed wound and even bone healing. Comfrey is high in Calcium and Vitamin C, and makes a deliciously healing tea with many uses. Makes a wonderful tea for coughs and congestion, is useful in the healing of minor wounds, both internal and external, and helps reduce inflammation.
