Sweet almond oil,(Prunus amygdalis) , beeswax, rose hydrosol, sorbitan olivate, rosemary extract (rosmarinus officinalis), tocopherol (vitamin E), rose (rosa damascene) essential oil, phenoxyethanol, ethylhexylglycerin (natural preservative)
Ethylglycerin is derived from vegetable glycerine and is used as a natural preservative. It’s an emollient solvent with antimicrobial activity. Used in cosmetic, personal care and other products, e.g. deodorants, sunscreens and surgical hand preparations. It enhances the action of preservatives, inhibits bacterial growth and is a mild humectant and skin emollient.
Phenoxyethanol is a preservative that was largely used in place of parabens in the past and although it is still allowed in cosmetics by many certification bodies like the Soil Association; there is a growing body of research that it could be potentially toxic. We are no longer bringing any new products onto our range with this ingredient and the formulators of those products that do contain it are starting to phase it out. If you would prefer to use products that do not contain Phenoxyethanol please type the ingredient into our search box on the top right hand corner and all products that contain it will be displayed.
