Sodium Benzoate is listed as a nasty in our pocket guide when used for food. But why then do we allow it in our cosmetics? The amount of sodium benzoate used in cosmetics is much smaller than in food as a preservative. Furthermore, the molecules are too large to be absorbed by the skin. This preservative has been allowed by Ecocert; the Soil Association and BDIH. It has been ranked by the EWG as having a low risk of 1. BUT there are reports circulating on the internet that warn against usage of the preservative even in cosmetics. We believe it is still one of the safer preservatives, but as always, we wanted you to be in the loop. The choice is yours to make.

5 out of 9 people would recommend this product29/11/2016, By KerryI have long. fine hair and this product does not work for me. I need to use a lot of product just to be able to comb through my hair and it doesnt feel like Ive used conditioner at all.05/11/2016, By SuzanneLieflike opknapper, maar dit is te ryk vir olierige hare.
Lovely conditioner, but too rich for my more oily hair. (Oily scalp, dry ends, lots-and-lots of hair.) I hope my hair will acclimatize, but in the meantime my hair is a bit too stringy. The smell is lovely though.26/10/2016, By LeandraIn my opinion, the actual product does not match its description. It is not creamy and is definitely more lotion like - which leaves my hair as good as not applying conditioner at all. To get a conditioning effect, you have to use a huge amount at a time (I have short hair) which is a waste and will not add up to the 250ml lasting for an efficient amount of time at all. This product is very disappointing, unfortunately - I will rather stick to Earthsap!24/06/2016, By LizEven though the smell of this shampoo and conditioner combo is not the best - its a great product! I used to use the Victorian Garden range (at almost double the price), but it left my scalp itchy - even after conditioning. I am sticking to Natural Aloe - a good price for a great product!14/04/2016, By ShelleyI really wanted to try a natural hair routine and I bought this instead of the actual conditioner I wanted. It smells lovely and is very smooth but I just about need to use half the bottle each wash to even feel it in my thick hair and it does not do much to untangle. I love the idea of it being natural and healthy but I still need it to work as a conditioner. I will have to keep looking for something that works.23/01/2016, By JoetteThe Natraloe shampoo and conditioner are the best Ive found yet. Most natural conditioners are very watery and seem to disappear when I apply to my hair. This conditioner is a bit thicker (not as thick as standard conditioner) and although it doesn feel as if it coats the hair, it seems to do the trick. My long hair doesn get tangly.23/03/2015, By VanessaThe Natraloe shampoo and conditioner are a winner. I didn’t need a lot of shampoo or conditioner for it to leave my hair feeling washed, nourished and silky. I like the fact that there is not a strong fragrance. I will definitely buy this again.24/11/2014, By SusanLeaves my hair nourished and shiny.
