Black Beauty Eggplant

One of the older brinjal varieties known in South Africa that has been around since before all the hybrid varieties came on the scene. A trusty favourite with gardeners and farmers. A productive plant that produces masses of large glossy fruit and requires a long growing season.

Diamond

A traditional variety from the Ukraine that is the most common variety in Eastern Europe that produces abundant fruits and is not prone to bitterness. It’s slightly more cold tolerant than other varieties.

A very dark slender eggplant with a low bitterness that has a fine texture and holds up very well in cooking. It requires a long growing season and is very frost sensitive.
