Interesting fact: There has been research into Frankincense’s anti-cancer properties, it contains Monoterpenes which are compounds that destroy cancer cells and stop them from reproducing.
Frankincense can be burned as an air purifying, clearing and mood uplifting incense by placing a small piece on a lit charcoal puck. This releases the essential oils and fragrances from the resin in an aromatic smoke.
Raw oleoresins exude from the surface of trees and plants and have been collected for time immemorial in cultures across the world to be used as medicine, perfume and incense. These resins don’t come from the actual tree sap itself but from special ducts that are close to the tree’s surface that usually release resin when the tree has some sort of natural damage occur, demonstrating that these precious substances are indeed very healing. These ducts “weep tears” in response to the damage, and intentionally creating minor wounds in trees, which does little harm, allows resins to be harvested on a greater scale.
Frankincense comes from the Boswellia Sacra tree and this particular brand comes from India. The quality may vary. Frankincense from Oman and other middle Eastern counties is the gold standard in Frankincense and is very expensive, costing in the region of R200.00 per 50 grams.
Please note that it is recommended that you consult with a qualified healthcare practitioner if you want to use frankincense resin internally.

Лучшие базы отдыха для Вас!11/09/2019, By NMGood aroma. Works well on a charcoal puc.15/07/2019, By ReneAs a additive to your drink for a boost, this could work. But this resin is rock hard, not a "gum" as I have experienced with another brand. Would really like to know how this occurred.14/04/2019, By LizetteThis is not raw frankincense resin, I assume it's already processed. Raw resin is tree gum and look quite different than this product. I would not recommend anyone to buy it.09/10/2018, By ShadleyAwesome product... used to always buy the incense but the raw is much better and very light scent26/12/2017, By SaraNatural and soothing scent17/09/2017, By NewgirlharperRaw Frankincense is really difficult to break down into the powder form which I include in my handcrafted products. The only way that I have managed to do this is by freezing the 'tears' (which is what the pieces of frankincense are called) and then grinding them in a coffee grinder to reduce them to a relatively light powder form. Frankincense is one of the best products that can be added to any mature skin moisturizer.05/09/2017, By BeaJust received my parcel. This product is very disappointing. Nothing like the real Frankincense.
A waste of money01/09/2017, By FriedelAlthough the price is very reasonable for the amount of resin you receive, I found the smell very offputting and artificial when lit - burning rubber came to mind. Compared to other (admittedly pricier) frankincense resins available, it might be worthwhile to pay a bit more for the authentic product26/08/2017, By mbaliThe air in the house feel pure and it calms a lot when burnt and the smell is great
