- Tea bags filled with cocoa husks ready for brewing
- Rich, smooth, and hearty hot beverage reminiscent of chocolate
- Makes a zero calorie tea with traces of caffeine, similar to common green tea
- Contains the happiness trigger Theobromine, as is commonplace in products containing chocolate or chocolate bi-products
- Theobromine triggers happiness in the brain, like the feeling released when eating chocolate
- Recommended brewing time is 4 to 6 minutes, and unlike more conventional tea’s, CocoaTea’s flavour is not spoilt if left brewing for longer.
- After brewing, there is usually a fine slick on top of the tea, which is the reminisce of cocoa butter. At the bottom of the cup/mug there is often also tea dust, which is safe to consume, should that be preferred.
- Due to the dry roasting process that the husk undergoes for the extraction of Cocoa Nibs, the husk once submerged in hot water, absorbs some water and swells slightly in the tea bag or strainer.

Just a bit pricey01/06/2019, By AnnieAbsolutely delicious! 1 teabag is definitely strong enough for two cups.06/05/2019, By MoniqueI thought i'd add another review because i've since bought many of these - you need to let it soak in the hot water for as long as possible and then squish the bag to let more flavour out, the chocolately flavour gets stronger, i soak the bag in my cup of boiled water until it's cooled down enough to drink (which is quite a while because i get burnt easily on hot drinks haha), and even then i still leave the bag in the cup. I also add a tsp of coconut oil which makes it just a tad more interesting as well. Also, i've added cinnamon bark and tiny pinch of vanilla powder as well one time...this is also nice.22/03/2019, By ReesyReceived few bags from a friend. I must say I'm pleasantly surprised. My first thought was to add milk and sugar. but glad I didn't. Just added water and half way through its just like drinking tea with no sugar or milk but only to get the extra bonus of cocoa <305/03/2019, By CynthiaLove the taste. Its like making a cup of cocoa but without the hassle! Easy and delicious! ♥03/03/2019, By raeesaLovely cocoa taste. Perfect for when craving chocolate but want to avoid the calories02/02/2019, By LanéI am obsessed with this tea!! While it is a little pricey, it is such a guilt-free treat!! Made with almond milk and coconut blossom sugar, it is the perfect healthy hot chocolate.26/01/2019, By CaddieFor someone who is not a fan of tea I really enjoyed this! Lovely chocolate smell and it’s creamy but light. I had it with milk and sugar02/01/2019, By Lee-AnneThe taste was really horrible for me :( did not taste of chocolate at all, glad I got it as a sample. Would never buy it at this cost29/12/2018, By ArielleAs you open the container the a deliscious scent of chocolatiness fills your nostrils. I expected a different taste, but I am not disappointed in the least. It’s a lovely clean herbal tea.22/12/2018, By tanijaThis is my biggest treat! Its a 'just add water'! The simplist yet most delicious treat! It tastes like melted chocolate, and smells like it aswel! Always a winner! (Great gift idea for anyone! )25/10/2018, By GillYummy19/10/2018, By StruanIt’s a little pricey and there isn’t a full bodied chocolate flavor. I wouldn’t do again but it was a nice once off29/08/2018, By Sarah van RooyenReally love this tea. It tastes different to other herbal teas...much better than green tea. I drink a cup a day!27/08/2018, By ArynI also got this as a sample - and loved it. Wasn't sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. My 8 year old really enjoyed it too.26/08/2018, By MiaNot bad. Prefer the husks though for a more refined and better chocolate taste.15/08/2018, By LornaI didn't know what I to expect, but this tea tasted exactly like it should. Very chocolatey and perfect if you're wanting a hot, chocolatey drink that isn't rich and milky.14/08/2018, By TracyNot bad...chocolatey taste but not very strong. Three year old loved it. 6 year old did not. But definitely not worth buying at the current price.12/08/2018, By IrenéI’m obsessed with Cocoa Tea!! I absolutely love it! I start my day with cocoa tea and whenever I need to take a break it will be with Cocoa Tea!! Definitely my favourite tea at the moment !!10/08/2018, By ChantalWarming, nourishing, energizing - my new comfort drink this winter! The bags are a good strength and can be topped up.09/08/2018, By MoniqueReceived a sample and wow, i loved it. I was ready to be disappointed because it sounded odd but i was really pleasantly surprised. Tastes like chocolate (i like very dark chocolate) but also it's not bitter like raw cacao paste. It also somehow didn't taste watery like i thought it would? I drank it as it without adding anything. I really loved it, will definately be buying this some time :)06/08/2018, By Just goodnessI really enjoy this herbal tea, it has a very unique flavor and definitely tastes better than green tea!06/08/2018, By TselengI don't know what this was supposed to taste like, but it was definitely not chocolate and if the herb inside is tea, then it's terrible with a terrible, bitter taste. The strength of cocoa is non existent and the whole thing is weak and does not look appealing, much less tasty. I'm glad I got this as a sample, although I was so excited to try it, I ended up being dismally disappointed. Added milk and it was better but still not drinkable. Threw out the whole thing after 2 sips02/08/2018, By BananramyA great-tasting, guilt-free substitute for hot chocolate. Obviously, it's not in the same league as the real deal, but it's delicious in its own way and a refreshing change from other herbal teas.27/06/2018, By smReceived this tea as a sample and glad I got to taste it because the idea of cocoa tea sounded interesting...Maybe that set me up for disappointment. The tea was nice but nothing near as cocoa-ey as I'd imagined. I'd drink it again that was all that was on offer, but I'd probably prefer regular tea or a real cup of cocoa.14/06/2018, By KateI really enjoy this tea! To me it tastes deliciously of chocolate - a very strong flavour! I like to add some hot soya milk to this to make a deliciously nutty-chocolate flavoured drink.12/06/2018, By AI really hoped that I would like the taste of this. Unfortunately, it tastes like hot water with a VERY subtle chocolate flavor to it, it in no way tastes like hot chocolate or a tea that is flavored with cocoa.08/06/2018, By KayIt wasnt terrible, but I wouldnt really buy again. Kind of tastes like jaegermeister somehow? Tastes almost kind of like very weak hot chocolate06/06/2018, By GabyI received this as a sample in my latest parcel and I was really excited to try it. While it may not be everyone's cup of tea ;), I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be buying a box with my next order. Yum! Thanks Faithful To Nature!21/05/2018, By AReceived a sample of this with an order and am glad that I was able to try it out first. It is grim. Does not taste like chocolate. Or like tea. My guess is that it aimed to land somewhere in between those two options, but managed to miss altogether.07/05/2018, By NikkiJust not my cup of tea.. I don't like the taste of it.02/05/2018, By AThis is so yummy I don't even need to add sugar
So happy I decided to try it03/04/2018, By MandyThis is heaven in a mug❤️
