But as any raw foodist will tell you, this simply isn\u2019t true \u2013 in fact, the raw diet gives you plenty of new, creative and nourishing ways to enjoy the things you love most! That includes raw bread \u2013 yes, you heard right \u2013 it\u2019s possible, it\u2019s simpler than it sounds, plus of course it\u2019s delicious and packed with nutrients.<\/p>\n<p>Check out this tasty raw bread recipe, great for picnics and lunch boxes, and a flax cracker \u201ctoast\u201d recipe your family will love at breakfast-time.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>1. Raw Buckwheat Bread<\/h2>\n<h3><em>Ingredients:<\/em><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00bdcup <a href=\"http:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/Crede-Organic-Olive-Oil-p-541.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">olive oil<\/a><\/li>\n<li>1\u00bdcups <a href=\"http:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/By-Nature-Organic-Dried-Tomatoes-p-3814.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sun-dried tomatoes<\/a><\/li>\n<li>3cups\u00a0sprouted <a href=\"http:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/Earthshine-Raw-Activated-Buckwheat-p-3050.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">buckwheat<\/a><\/li>\n<li>3\u00bdcups peeled courgette, chopped<\/li>\n<li>2cups apple, cored &amp; chopped<\/li>\n<li>3tbsp lemon juice<\/li>\n<li>2 avocados<\/li>\n<li>1 large onion<\/li>\n<li>\u00bdcup minced parsley<\/li>\n<li>1cup <a href=\"http:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/Crede-Milled-Flax-Powder-p-3245.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">flax meal<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><em>Method:<\/em><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Blend the olive oil, tomatoes, buckwheat, courgette, apple, lemon juice, avocados, onion &amp; parsley in a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/Blenders-p-1-c-468.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">food processor<\/a> until thoroughly mixed.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the mixture into a large bowl &amp; mix in the flax meal by hand, until you have a thick, sticky batter.<\/li>\n<li>Blend the batter again in your food processor, but in small batches. This will help you get a light, fluffy texture.<\/li>\n<li>Divide the mixture in half &amp; spread evenly on 2 flexible, non-stick dehydrator sheets. Score into 9 equal squares with a knife.<\/li>\n<li>Dehydrate for 2 hours at 110-115\u00b0F.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the sheets from your <a href=\"http:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/Excalibur-Dehydrator-4-tray-p-3427.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dehydrator<\/a> and flip the batter over. (Tip: place another tray and mesh on top of the batter &amp; invert; then you can to peel the sheet off easily.)<\/li>\n<li>Dehydrate the underside of the bread for approx. 8 hours more; the bread is ready to eat when it feels light and slightly crisp.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>2. Cinnamon Raisin Flax \u201cToast\u201d<\/h2>\n<h3><em>Ingredients:<\/em><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>2cups <a href=\"http:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/By-Nature-Organic-Almonds-p-3085.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">raw almonds<\/a><\/li>\n<li>1cup <a href=\"http:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/Health-Connection-Organic-Sunflower-Seeds-p-1244.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sunflower seeds<\/a><\/li>\n<li>1cup <a href=\"http:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/Crede-Milled-Flax-Powder-p-3245.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">flax meal<\/a><\/li>\n<li>1cup pureed courgette (zucchini)<\/li>\n<li>2 carrots<\/li>\n<li>1 apple<\/li>\n<li>1cup <a href=\"http:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/Earth-Products-Raisins-Seedless-Organic-p-2385.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">raisins<\/a><\/li>\n<li>4 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/By-Nature-Organic-Pitted-Dried-Dates-p-3089.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dates<\/a><\/li>\n<li>\u00bdcup water<\/li>\n<li>1tsp <a href=\"http:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/Kalyan-Organic-Ground-Cinnamon-p-4537.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cinnamon<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><em>Method:<\/em><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Process the sunflower seeds in a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.faithful-to-nature.co.za\/Blenders-p-1-c-468.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blender<\/a> until finely chopped, then set aside in a bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Process the almonds until finely chopped; place in bowl with the sunflower seeds.<\/li>\n<li>Add the flax &amp; stir to combine.<\/li>\n<li>Process the carrots &amp; apple until you get a puree. Add the courgette puree &amp; mix.<\/li>\n<li>Blend the dates with the water until liquefied (you can soak the dates first to soften them).<\/li>\n<li>Add date mixture to the carrot, apple &amp; courgette mix; stir well.<\/li>\n<li>Stir wet ingredients into dry &amp; mix well.
