Faithful to Nature<\/a> (FTN) is my one-stop-shop for all things eco-friendly. I can stock up on teas, treats, gluten-free goodies and <\/span>vegan-friendly<\/span><\/a> groceries. Curing colds, flus, rashes and breakouts has never been easier with the site\u2019s exhaustive offering of <\/span>health treatments<\/span><\/a> and remedies. Shopping for eco-friendly gifts<\/a> to surprise loved ones is also a breeze. There is very little I can\u2019t get here, but there are certain purchases I make more often than not. Here is my list of FTN products that I simply can\u2019t live without:<\/span><\/p>\n

BEDROOM<\/h2>\n


\nHimalayan Salt Lamp<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

I must confess, I initially bought this lamp because I knew the bohemian bedroom accessory would look perfect on top of my armoire. A yogi friend of mine clued me up on the health benefits, and they read like the cheat sheet to eternal life. <\/span>Himalayan salt lamps<\/span><\/a> purify your air, reduce asthma and allergy symptoms, boost your energy levels, help you sleep better and help treat seasonal affect disorder. These environmentally-friendly light sources bring a warm glow to any room you place them in and add to the feng shui, if you\u2019re looking to <\/span>zen-up\/down your space<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Green Linen<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

Though I\u2019m partial to a plain-white bedspread myself, \u2018green\u2019 linen is always my priority. FTN stocks the comfiest <\/span>Bloom & Bale\u2019s organic cotton set<\/span><\/a>. The 300 thread count linen pack comes with everything you need (duvet cover, flat and fitted sheets as well as a set of pillow cases) and is available from twin- to king-size. I only manage to peel myself from bed in the morning because I know I get to return to it when the day is done. <\/span><\/p>\n

Massage Candles<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

It was thought-leader Bryant McGill who said, \u201cYour calm mind is the ultimate weapon against your challenges. So relax.\u201d What better way to de-stress than to put on a playlist of rain audio or whale sounds, light a few candles and meditate. What’s great about <\/span>massage candles<\/span><\/a> is once the wax, made of shea butter, cocoa butter, grape seed oil and soy, melts, you have warm massage oil to apply on your tense muscles.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

BATHROOM<\/b><\/h2>\n


\nForest-Friendly Toilet Paper<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

There is a common misconception that living an eco-responsible lifestyle means sacrificing a great many of life\u2019s little pleasure. Hand on my heart, I met a man who believed,\u201cYou tree huggers go as far as wiping your butts with leaves, don\u2019t you?\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Gudsheet<\/span><\/a> is a 2-ply toilet paper made from sugar cane fibres (one of the fastest growing plants in the world) and wood pulp. The biodegradable toosh-towel is safe for sewers and septic tanks and proceeds made from sales go towards improving water and sanitation in South Africa.<\/span><\/p>\n

Biodegradable Soap and Shampoo\/Conditioner<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

These cleansing products smell amazing and you can rest assured that you aren\u2019t contaminating drinkable water sources for both humans and animals. FTN stocks an <\/span>Afri Berry black soap\/shampoo\/conditioner<\/span><\/a> that I simply can\u2019t live without. Red palm oil, coconut oil, argan oil, roasted cocoa pods, roasted plantain skin and sea salt make up this natural product that I use from the top of my head to the tips of my toes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Organic Make-Up Remover<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

Going to sleep with make-up on is the worst thing you can do for your skin (apart from ruining it on a tanning bed, sunbathing for long periods and drinking or smoking excessively\u2026. Of course). Having a pack of <\/span>Natracare make-up remover wipes<\/span><\/a> in your bathroom cabinet means that you never have to worry about this. This <\/span>cruelty-free<\/span><\/a> product effectively removes all make-up and grime from your face while simultaneously hydrating it to ensuring it doesn\u2019t get dry as you sleep. Safe for all skin-types and packed with almond, chamomile and apricot oils, as well as aloe vera juice, Natracare wipes work well enough to remove stubborn waterproof mascara and matte lipstick.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A sure way to reduce your carbon footprint is by reducing your waste. A simple way to reduce your waste is by making the most of multi-purpose products like <\/span>Triple Orange All-Purpose Cleaner<\/span><\/a>. This hardy wonder gel will remove grease off all surfaces and is completely biodegradable. No animals were harmed in the making of this product.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Kombucha<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

Whether it\u2019s the natural flavour<\/a> or a refreshing <\/span>rooibos and pomegranate<\/span><\/a> – I swear by this health elixir. Kombucha is made from tea, live cultures and is brewed over weeks to create a tangy beverage that is rich in antioxidants. Not only does this miracle drink reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer, it combats painful bloating and constipation.<\/span><\/p>\n

I ordinarily enjoy an ice-cold Kombucha at the end of a long day, about five times a week.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
